How do you get kids crayola crayons off of wood furniture & IKEA Formica/laminate furniture?

Daughter wrote with crayon on her white, Ikea book shelf (typical laminate/formica board. Anyone know how to get it off? Water and wiping didn’t work. I even tried baby wipes (they seem to work on a lot of things) and nothing. Also, the crayon is on the walls and wood furniture (TV entertainment center). How do you get it off the walls and the wood furniture?
