Is there a way to laminate foam board without using spray glue?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew of a less expensive way to laminate polystyrene foam board, other than using spray glue? I intend to carve it with hand tools and such so strength isn’t extremely important.

My suggestions are;
1.Acrylic Medium painted on one and press them together for days to dry(?). When you carve this you may have a balling up effect of the glue at the edge of the seam.
2. Regular glue (Elmer’s), clamp and let dry, may ball up less when carving and shaving.
3. liquid nails, don’t know if you can carve it when it is dry though.
4. Contact Cement, don’t know about carving here either.
Some of these may be hazardous to your health without proper venation. Acrylic Medium and glue are ok, but be careful of liquid nails and contact cement.
